Country/Bluegrass/Latino theme song from THE LOVERS AT MAMA’S CAFE album released on Apple Harvest Music in 1991. Recorded in a living room of a mountain cabin in Julian, CA., using only a DAT four-track recorder without effects. There was no post-recording studio production, you are hearing the music as originally recorded. Restored and salvaged from commercial cassette copies we scrounged up in 2019 by the wonderful Dale Price of Electric Canyon Studios in Chico, Ca. The master dat (tape) was lost in fires in 2003.

A friend dropped MJC’s Lovers at Mama’s on my timeline. What a blast from the past! I was the owner of the restaurant and he and I were the lovers. Haven’t seen Michael in many years.
